Credit Card and Payroll Processing
The partnership between the OH&LA and Heartland Payment Systems continues to prosper. Added to the OH&LA's endorsed Heartland products in 2002 was a payroll processing program. The two programs together have serviced over 300 OH&LA members who have taken advantage of the processing discounts and quality service. These statewide programs are supported by five Relationship Managers. Benefits of utilizing Heartland Payment Systems as your bankcard processor include:
•Program discounted rates and transaction fees for VISA/MasterCard
•Additional rate reductions for multi-unit operators
•Local Relationship Manager to respond quickly to quotes, issues and questions
•Pass through cost of all mid- and non-qualified transactions, which include manually entered transactions, corporate cards or foreign visas
•No application, reprogramming, annual or hidden fees
In addition to the payroll processing program, ORA members have the benefit of the Heartland PayDay employee payroll card. The card is primarily targeted to employees that do not have a current banking relationship, and employers reduce expenses by offering it because it eliminates check issuing and handling costs along with lowering the risk of check fraud.

Workers' Compensation Insurance
Recently you were contacted about the June 30, 2010 closing of our ORGSIA Work Comp Fund. Your Insurance Committee has completed its due diligence by interviewing seven major work comp providers in reference to establishing an endorsed program for our association members. The clear choice was Midlands Management Corporation based in Oklahoma City. Midlands was established in Oklahoma City 20 years ago, and remains a dominant force in work comp insurance today. Competitive rates, excellent claims management, and loss prevention will be provided by Midlands, mirroring the outstanding service record of ORGSIA. On Wednesday, May 26th the OH&LA Board of Directors officially selected Midlands as our endorsed work comp provider. Third-Party Natural Gas
Clearwater Enterprises and the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association are excited to announce their new partnership to provide third-party natural gas to association members.
With over 1,000 satisfied customers in Oklahoma, Clearwater is thrilled about the prospect of becoming your supplier of choice. In addition to the dramatically discounted pricing, which has been negotiated for ORA members, this new natural gas purchasing program offers:
* Clearwater pricing is better than other providers in the market because Clearwater controls their own gas supply;
* No minimum purchase per month;
* 1,000 dekatherms per year minimum requirement to qualify;

Group Health Insurance
Created by the OH&LA Insurance Committee and OH&LA President, this discount program offers OH&LA members exclusive savings and insurance services.
Program highlights include:
- Exclusive discounted rates with CommunityCare of Oklahoma.
- Minimum of only 2 employees &/or owners enrolled.
- No individual medical underwriting for groups with 10 or more full-time employees (not necessarily enrolled).
- Management carve-outs available.
- Inexpensive mini-medical products for hourly &/or part-time employees.
- No prior insurance required.
- No pre-existing condition exclusions on HMO or POS plans.
- COBRA and HIPAA Compliance assistance at no charge for enrolled members.
- Claims and appeals assistance to enrolled owners and employees at no charge.
- O-Epic enrollment assistance (state premium assistance plan).
- Enrollment and HR assistance at no charge for enrolled members.
The program will operate much like the long successful Louisiana Restaurant Association's group health program. The long term goal of the plan is to offer OH&LA members access to group health coverage at an affordable cost using the substantial buying power of the OH&LA. As the program grows, additional savings will become available as we work towards one large association plan.
