Incorporated in 1981, the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association is Oklahoma's trade association for the lodging industry representing $12 billion in business sales, more than $6 billion dollars in guest spending and $2 billion in hotel industry wages and salaries.

With a strong presence at the state capitol, the OH&LA constantly monitors regulatory and legislative issues, as well as advocating on behalf of the lodging industry both on a state and national level. Other member services include industry-specific education and certification in proper food safety and service of alcohol. OH&LA holds industry events, offers workforce support, as well as offering services like bank card processing, group insurance programs and hosting the state's largest industry trade Expo.

OH&LA is the exclusive partner state association of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), the voice of the $483 billion lodging industry, employing more than 8 million American jobs.

What's Happening
Join us on Sept 25th for our education session to prepare our managers and supervisors on how to work with employees with all abilities! HospitAbilities is a skills-based certification for students of all abilities. Through this certification program, we will be assisting in training and certifying students of all levels of ability across our state.
OKWIL is excited to bring you our next event on October 2, 2019. We will be holding a Community Outreach Day at The Homeless Alliance in Oklahoma City. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community! The Homeless Alliance works to end long-term homelessness in Oklahoma City by building the capacity of the community through collaboration with other agencies, identifying and filling gaps in homeless services, bringing nationally-recognized best practices to the community, and working to build a system that is more efficient and caring!
OKWIL Event: The Gift of "Done!"
On May 30th, we had a great time at our OKWIL Event: Finish: Giving Yourself the Gift of Done! Thirty of our members enjoyed learning from Bonnie Ann Cain-Wood on how to complete tasks at work efficiently, without adding additional pressure to their lives. Chronic projects starters learned about the importance of removing pressure from their projects, so they can ultimately finish and improve their overall productivity. We enjoyed seeing all of you, and look forward to our next OKWIL event!
The OH&LA held its annual Lodging Summit, including the Vendor Expo and Stars of the Industry Awards, on January 15 at the Hilton Garden Inn Edmond - and it was a great day by every measure.
