OKWIL Member "Hotels On The Hill" Travel Scholarship
OKWIL Member - Hotels On the Hill Travel Scholarship
This scholarship enables one OKWIL member to join the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association and a group of their Oklahoma peers as we travel to Washington, D.C., to attend Hotels on the Hill, a Legislative Summit presented by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
Our recipient of the scholarship will join the Oklahoma delegation on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to discuss issues of importance to the lodging industry during meetings with Oklahoma's elected leadership and in AHLA conference sessions during the Summit. In addition, our group enjoys dining experiences and local sites together. Hotels on the Hill (formerly called AHLA Legislative Action Summit) remains the most effective way to show our strength and to make an impact with key policymakers. In recent years, we have seen direct and impressive results from our visits to Capitol Hill. Big issues like workforce, immigration, technology/tax, and travel/tourism impact the lodging industry, and we need to join together to make our voices heard.
Our issues are too important to leave to others. Supporting these initiatives should be a priority of all lodging professionals, and OKWIL encourages women in Oklahoma's lodging industry to be instrumental advocates! No other conference offers the same level of access, insight, or influence.
Scholarship Funding:
$2,000 OKWIL Scholarship
Important to Note:
Before applying, please confirm your employer is in support of your attendance and will fund any expenses that are over the scholarship amount. All applications must be submitted online.
Recipients will be announced at the OHLA Lodging Summit on January 20, 2026.
